TCL Launching 4K, 8K QLED AI Android TV Range With Dolby in June
TCL Electronics revealed on Wednesday that it is going to introduce its 4 K and 8 K QLED AI Android Smart TV lineup in India in June. The Chinese company's latest smart TV models would be based on quantum dot display technologies and provide apps such as Dolby Vision and IMAX support. In January, TCL introduced its C8-series 4 K AI smart TVs in the country — with the introduction of its AI Ultra-Inverter Air Conditioners. The company's latest smart TV models come with advanced voice recognition technology.
TCL's latest smart TV series would come in 4 K and 8 K QLED choices and run Google's Android TV, the business announced in a press release. The new TV models will have Motion Estimate and Motion Compensation (MEMC) that is advertised to allow stable image quality without any motion blur at a refresh rate of 120Hz. You'll also get the quantum dot projection system to deliver a 3D-like depth picture experience.
TCL said the flagship TVs in the new line will include versions with a pop-up camera that would make video calls. This sounds close to the Honor Vision Pro and the Huawei Smart Screen V55i, all of which have a pop-up camera for video calls. The new smart TVs will also have an optional soundbar designed by Onkyo. The sound bar would be powered by Dolby Atmos to provide theater-like sound quality, the business added. Dolby Vision can also enable improved HDR-viewing experience. However, the latest TVs would have artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize the effects of the image.'Intensify the rivalry' TCL has not announced any pricing specifics of its new 4 K and 8 K QLED AI.Smart TV show for Smartphone. It did note, however, that the latest TV models would "increase rivalry" in the smart TV market.
