Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Gets an Update With Android Security Patch of April 2020

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has begun to receive a new software update featuring an April 2020 Android Security Patch. The Redmi mobile, which was released in India in March and was first offered earlier this week, was previously carrying the March Android protection patch. Of note, the latest upgrade isn't as fresh as we were in mid-May, and several firms, including Xiaomi 's competitor Realme, have introduced the May protection fix to their cheaper versions. The next selling of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will also take place next week.


Xiaomi is releasing a new software update for Redmi Note 9 Pro Max with the firmware edition MIUI v11.0.2.0.QJXINXM. The changelog issued by the company does not mention any major updates, but it confirms the release of the April 2020 Android protection patch. In addition , the size of the update is 338 MB. Generally, updates to Android take some time to reach all eligible users. However, you can verify the availability of the new update for your Redmi Note 9 Pro Max by heading to Settings > My Phone > Device Update.


Xiaomi made a first selling of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in India on Tuesday. While the total number of units sold during the first round of sales is unknown, the company reported that it had gone out of stock within a few minutes. Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain tweeted at the next sale that she will be going live next week.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Price for India

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max price is set at Rs. 16,499 for the 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage version, while the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage model is priced at Rs. 17,999 and the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage version is priced at Rs. 19,999.


The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max Specification

Dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is operating Android 10 with MIUI 11 at the end. The phone provides a large-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) 6.67-inch IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720 G SoC combined with up to 8 GB of RAM. The phone also comes with a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a f/1.8 lens sensor with an ultra-wide angle lens, a 5mp tertiary sensor with a macro lens and a 2mp depth sensor. There's a 32-megapixel selfie camera as well.


Xiaomi has provided up to 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage on Redmi Note 9 Pro Max that can be extended via a microSD card ( up to 512 GB). In addition, the phone packs a 5.020mAh battery that allows 33W of fast charging.
