Redmi 10X leaked on Google Play Console with lower specs than we expected

Following a few intermittent mentions in the gossip mill, the Redmi 10X name appeared to have fallen into silence over the past week or so. Unfortunately, it didn't re-emerge in the Google Play Console list, along with some basic information. The unfortunate part is that the company is apparently going through a confusing "generation-skipping" name for what is mostly a re-branded Redmi Note 9 for the Chinese market.

The source doesn't really give a lot of specifications, but clearly mentions the MediaTek Helio G70 chipset for the Redmi 10X. A drop compared to the fresh, beefed-up Helio G85 in the Redmi Note 9. We can also see the screen resolution of the Redmi 10X matches-completely with the one on Redmi Note 9, 1080 x 2340 pixels. Finally, mention is also made of 4 GB of RAM, which corresponds with the maximum amount available in the high 128 GB range of Redmi Note 9. However, this does not preclude the possibility of other Redmi 10X memory variants to exist.

Beyond these figures, we can only make an informed guess that the Google Play Console list refers to the same M2003J15SI unit as the latest BIS certification in India, TENAA listing and entry in the China Telecom database. They both seem to be related together, as do the Redmi Note 9 and the Redmi 10X monikers. It is also possible that most facets of the latest Redmi 10X, in addition to the already listed chipset switch, would be borrowed from Redmi Note 9. However, despite the downgrade history, we need to wonder if the 48MP plus 8MP and 2MP main camera array Redmi Note 9 will stay unchanged.Same goes with other conventional cost-saving goals, such as the 5.020 mAh battery or its 18W rapid charging capability.
