Poco’s May 12 Global Event Teases Poco F2 Series

The Poco F2 series has been operating Internet rounds for some time now. Several sources have speculated at the possible price and some of the specs of the two phones were reported to be part of the sequence – Poco F2 and Poco F2 Pro – but Poco has yet to announce them. But it seems like the launch of smartphones is not far away after the company announced on Thursday the release of unnamed Poco product(s) on 12 May. As noted in previous reports, Poco is expected to unveil Poco F2 and Poco F2 Pro at the global event on 12 May.

Poco announced the progress of the forthcoming launch on Facebook. While the tweet does not announce the name of the forthcoming Poco app, we can see numerous screenshots of users talking about Poco F2 and Poco F2 Pro, indicating that the post is regarding the launch of the above-mentioned smartphones. Likewise, earlier this week, the company reported in a separate tweet that a second generation Poco drug was arriving. The second version is anticipated to mean the Poco F2 series that is set to replace the Poco F1 series-launched in 2018.

Recently, the article reported that Xiaomi's Spanish PR agency had submitted invitations to a virtual Poco event scheduled to take place on 12 May. A day after that article, a different article reported that Poco would unleash the Poco F2 Pro at the case. Poco F2 series size, color choices (expected)

It was also suggested that the reported Poco F2 Pro would cost EUR 570 (roughly Rs. 46,800) for the 128 GB version. Another research has previously indicated that the Poco F2 Pro may have cost EUR 649 (roughly Rs. 53,300) for the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB version, whereas the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB model is reported to have cost EUR 749 (roughly Rs. 61,600).

It was also suggested that the Poco F2 Pro will come in four color options, including Blue, Gray, Purple and White. Similarly, other reports suggested that the Poco F2 Pro would be a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 Pro that was launched in China in March. Previously, it was suggested that Poco F2 would be the rebranded version of Redmi K30 Pro, but Poco India General Manager C Manmohan denied the rumors. The key specifications of Poco F2 and Poco F2 Pro remain, therefore, a mystery at the moment. More details about smartphones will be available in the coming days.
