Asus revealed its new Google Meet videoconferencing hardwares for offices

Asus unveiled new video conferencing hardware built to manage Google Meet meetings (via 9to5Google). The latest equipment involves a tiny device that performs a call, an external speaker, and depending on the system you choose, you will even get a monitor and a touch screen. Hardware may be useful for meeting rooms in offices that depend on Google Meet as their favorite video conferencing platform (once actually heading to the office is more popular, of course).

The device that Asus calls the Google Meet Computing Machine has an Intel Core i7 cpu, a 128 GB SSD, and a magnetic base so that it can be connected to the supplied stand or more conveniently installed out of sight.

With the Starter Package and the Small / Medium Space Pack, which are built for meeting rooms of up to eight participants, you'll get a 120-degree field of view camera and the capacity to zoom in to 4X without compromising 720p picture quality, according to Asus. There is also a Wide Room Set built for meeting zooms of up to 20 persons and to be used with the PTZ Pro 2 system of Logitech, according to Asus' website. The PTZ Pro 2 takes 1080p images and provides 10X zoom. The Wide Room Package doesn't come with the video, though — Asus says businesses would have to deal with their manufacturer to obtain it. The Small / Medium Room Kit and the Big Room Kit are both equipped with a different touch screen panel you can use to handle your request. The kits will be available in 28 countries in June and come in three separate price points according to 9to5Google: the Starter Package will cost £1,650/€1,915 (~$2,012), the Small / Medium Room Package will cost £ 1,970/€2,320 (~$2,402), and the Big Room Kit (which does not contain a camera) will cost £ 1,700/€1,970 (~$2,073).
